To get rid of black mould on silicone use Bleach (Jik) to clean the silicone with,
Bearing in mind that it is a strong solution and can affect any chrome fittings
or shower channels
This alone will not prevent the mould from coming back you can fill a spray bottle
with white vinegar and spray the silicone to prevent mould every fortnight.
You can also use car windscreen water repellent (Wind C Thru) for both silicone
and glass (Water Marks)

If all of these fail the last resort would be to strip the silicone and re-silicone
this of course is a messy job, At this point you can give us a call for a Shower Repair.

If you prefer to do the work yourself,
You Would need silicone spray (Q8) and carpet knife.
To strip the silicone, first cut it along the corner then spray the silicone spray
in the corner all the way, let it stand for a while then take a cloth to wipe it off.
To re-silicone clean both the wall and shower channels with methylated spirits

The biggest mistake made with new shower doors is to silicone everywhere you can
Only silicone outside !!!!!!
Shower doors are deigned to let water run back into the shower thus making it waterproof
Once you silicone inside, you create a water funnel which will leak anywhere it can
also you will get an awful smell in the bathroom from the water build-up.
To Silicone make sure that there is no dirt on the area clean it with spirits and water
if you're not too sure and let it dry property
To get neat lines get a roll of masking tape stick it in straight line on both surfaces
with a 2mm gap from the corner on either side
Then apply silicone in a thin straight line between the two strips of masking tape
at this point you would want to get some toilet paper and a plastic bag for the rubbish.
Wet your finger with water and run it along the top of the silicone pushing it sightly into
the corner, watch out not to build up too much on your finger it will run over you tape
To remove it from your finger use the toilet paper be sure to throw it away.
Once your done with that pull the strips of masking tape off pull them away at an angle
to ensure a smooth finish.
To finish off wet your finger once more and gently run it
across the silicone to smooth it out
Last thing to do is to check that the silicone has no gaps fill up where necessary
Leave the silicone to dry for 24hours.

Shower doors that use tracks and wheels need maintenance in 3 month intervals
to ensure optimal performance.
You need to ensure the tracks are kept clean and wheels run freely.
To do this clean tracks with a damp cloth and
spray silicon spray (Q8) on wheels and track.
Check that your doors run freely and does not touch anything.
If your door touches anywhere call us for a shower door repair or re-adjustment.

Try not to remove the door for cleaning as this may result in the door breaking.

Magnet strips sometimes causes a leak the reason for this is
that the magnet pushes away
instead of pulling together this is not because it's worn out but because it's not
installed the correct way,
The top and bottom of the magnet is actually the positive and negative nodes so to
change the direction turn the magnet upside down on one side
that should fix the problem.

If you find that the pressure in you shower head is low or not as it used to be
and there is no white marks or visible blockages on the front of the head
check the strainer where the head connects to the arm just above the head
not against the wall but further down on the arm
If there is visible blockages, most shower heads has an anti-lime function
this is the rubber nozzles on the front of the shower head wipe your finger
over
